Skibidi Toilet is a 2023 Georgian machinima animated web series created by YouTuber and SFM Animator, Alexey Gerasimov or better known as DaFuq!?Boom!. The first episode came out on February 7, 2023 on YouTube and had since become one of the most popular indie animated web series's on the platform. The series has aired 77 episodes and is currently on its 25th Season (As of Thursday, August 22, 2024). The series follows the conflict between singing human-headed toilets—the titular "Skibidi Toilets"—and humanoids with CCTV cameras, speakers, and televisions in place of their heads called The Alliance, the Skibidi Toilets, and their leader G-Man Skibidi Toilet, threaten humanity and had conquered the world and latter antagonists, the Astro Toilets would soon appear in the series, and it is up to the Alliance to stop the toilets to save the world. Plot[]
The skibidi toilet series depicts a war between the evil skibidi toilets which are singing, human-headed toilets and humanoid robots with cameras, speakers or TVs in place of their heads. The skibidi toilets, led by their leader, the G-toilet, begin attempting to conquer the world and all of humanity is either forced into hiding, converted into the skibidi toilets or simply killed. The cameramen, led by their titan, soon begin a war against the skibidi toilets and soon kill most of the skibidi bosses and find the skibidi hideout, while the war continues to escalate. However, the titan cameraman is injured in a fight against the G-Toilet and is forced to retreat, resulting in the cameramen falling down in the war, but the arrival of the speakermen and their titan onto the battlefield brings new hope for the alliance. However, the toilets' second-in-command, the chief scientist toilet invents a new variant of the skibidi toilets that can infect the alliance, making them fight for the toilets. Eventually, the scientist releases a parasitic skibidi toilet onto the titan speakerman, infecting him. After the invention of anti-parasite technology, the cameramen try to cure the infected titan speakerman but they fail, but then, the TV men and their titan arrive on the battlefield, eventually killing all the parasites except for the one infecting the titan speakerman. The titan TV man tries to kill the G-toilet, but is attacked by the infected titan speakerman and is also forced to retreat. The toilets begin attacking the cameraman base but they are later stopped by the upgraded titan cameraman. After the toilets are driven off from the cameraman base, the titan cameraman begins hunting down the infected titan speakerman. After an epic battle between the infected titan speakerman and the titan cameraman, the titan speakerman is cured of the parasitic skibidi toilet infection. Shortly after this time, the astro toilets wants revenge for the treason G-toilet did for them and attempt to kill the fake g-toilet (the real G-toilet is being upgraded) but are stopped by the chief scientist toilet, who is controlling a giant mech version of himself. The dual titans eliminate what seems to be the G-toilet but they are fooled because they kill the fake g-toilet instead of the real one and then realizing that they got trapped and then are later ambushed by some bomber skibidi toilets. Later, the new base of the skibidi toilets is found (alpha-hills labs) and the titans converge to fight the scientist toilet mech and the real g-toilet, but the scientist quickly overpowers titan cam to paralyz him and kill titan speakerman Just as the two titans are about to die, the upgraded titan TV man teleports to the area and destroys the scientist toilet's mech effortlessly, while the real scientist escapes from inside the mech, along with the G-Toilet. After a strike mission by the alliance, the real scientist toilet is ambushed by plungerman and dark speakerman and then the large tv man 2.0 comes in to save the day, but the scientist waits to the right moment and then jumps into his little mech that almost kills everyone, but then some reinforcment comes (including camera woman,tv woman and speakerwoman) that makes the scientist getting hurt badly and tries to escape but the titans arrives at the right moment and tortured the cheif scientist skibidi toilet to death by the titans for killing the duos and titan speakermans revenge for infecting him. After the scientist's death, the plunger man (one of the cameramen involved in the fight) meets the secret agent and is then killed for some reason, likely to stop him from leaking some secret information. The G-toilet escapes along with all the surviving skibidi toilets but they are attacked by the astro detainor, but the G-toilet fights him and wins the battle by tricking the astro by "giving up" and gives controlling orbs to almost kill him, but then the astro juggernaut comes in and uses his blaster, but then the titans start appearing so that makes the juggernaut leave with detainor, and G-toilet escaping. The three titans later converge to kill the g-toilet but the titan cameraman and titan speakerman are severely injured, along with the G-Toilet. Meanwhile, human survivors are discovered after further exploration of the skibidi base and the origin of the toilets is finally revealed (but not so much); G-toilet was the commmander of the astros, astros were taking over planets and galaxies, but then G-toilet commits treason to the astros (we dont know yet why) and lands on earth so that he can escape them and trys to hide, but then sarts singing the skibidi toilet song to infect humans, but then the humans start using cameras,speakers and even tvs as heads and counting as an "race". After the invasion of Astro toilets, the skibidi toilets are forced to join the alliance so that they can stop the astro toilets, while new types of Astro toilets join the war. The astro toilets begin destroying cities around the world and the cameramen get stronger in response to the Astro toilet invasion and are joined in the battle by the upgraded Titan tv man, who defeats most of the Astro toilets and then prepares to battle against the juggernaut Astro toilet. However, the Titan tv man gets seriously damaged by the juggernaut Astro toilet, but is saved by the g-toilet 5.0. Just as the Titan tv man teleports back to the base to get repaired, he had brought some samples to the scientist tv man, but then the gate wouldnt close, then titan astro duchess making him not able to move with her lasers, and then he gets captured and infected by the astro toilets. The rise of "Skibidi Toilet" can be largely attributed to its early success on YouTube Shorts. As more episodes were produced and released, the series garnered tens of millions of views per episode, with some episodes exceeding hundreds of millions. As of November 2023, YouTube videos associated with "Skibidi Toilet" had accumulated over 65 billion views—a staggering number considering the global population of around 8 billion, although this figure includes many repeat viewers. However, the viewcount has decreased significantly, suggesting that the trend associated with skibidi toilet has largely died out and it is mostly the actual fans that are watching the skibidi toilet videos.
Initially flying under the radar, "Skibidi Toilet" experienced an explosion in popularity between early May to June 2023, This surge bought the series into the mainstream, making it a household name and one of the most influential indie animations of the 2020s. The unique combination of eye-catching animations, complex character designs, and fast-paced storytelling resonated particularly well with Generation Alpha, the cohort born between 2013 and 2027, although older people also sometimes watch the skibidi toilet series as well.
Controversy[]
Some parental websites and Southeast Asian newspapers raised concerns about the series' violent and bizarre visuals, coining the term "Skibidi toilet syndrome" to describe its purportedly harmful effects on young children. These claims, though lacking substantial evidence, have sparked debate about the appropriateness of the content for its predominantly young audience. Also, people who simply hate the series have referred to the series as "brain rot" or "cringe", mostly due to its popularity with "ipad kids", and they also often falsely claim that "skibidi toilet doesn't have lore", and often rant about the series. People also accuse DaFuq!?Boom! of "milking" the skibidi toilet series for money, although that is not true.
